If at first you don't succeed... retake your DSST exam for FREE - and remember that DANTES pays for the first exam attempt for eligible military members - so it's a win-win all around.

The 2^nd Shot Free Exam Retake Promotion runs from August 1 - September 30, 2019. The last day that test-takers will be able to test and receive a re-take voucher is September 30, 2019. Voucher codes will expire December 10, 2019, so members have until that date to retake an exam.

DANTES funds DSST exam fees for the initial exam attempt for eligible military service members. Active duty, Guard and Reserve component, and U.S. Coast Guard members can get more information on our DANTES Credit-by-Exam page.
